Electrica Identity

Being in a sort of identity crisis owed by the internal organisational problems, Electrica had to develop a unique visual style. Electrica’s logogram was chosen from a wide variety and offers all over the country. Joined in this contest the logo became the actual one, representing Electrica on a national level. Electrica is made by a logogram and Electrica logo.

It is a sign resulted from the styling of “e” letter, the first letter when naming the company, and the addition a graphical sign having a double role: read from left to right, it represents the idea of distribution, propagation from a single point, energy source; read as a circular ascendant movement clock-wise movement, can be seen as an evolution symbol, a progress.

The graphical symbol’s dynamics is highlighted by red colour, which by definition represents dynamism. At the end, the logo is a stylised defying electrons gravitating around a nucleus.

Textually, the logo is the naming of the company. It will make the company famous, unforgettable, and recognizable in any context. A thick, straight, readable font was used.
